Just realized most pitch decks ignore the actual customer problem
I was at the Startup Tech Meetup in Toronto last month and saw 8 presentations in a row that focused on their cool tech features instead of who actually needs it. One guy spent 5 minutes explaining his algorithm but couldn't name a single person outside his friends who would pay for it. Has anyone else noticed investors zone out the second you skip the pain point?

Ask the guy with the algorithm if he talked to ten random people on the street about their biggest headache last week. Did any of them mention needing his specific tech solution? I find that when you press founders on who exactly has this problem, they usually can't name more than two people they actually interviewed.
