A founder at a Halifax coffee shop told me to stop pitching and I still think about it
I was at a small meetup in Halifax last month and ended up next to a founder who had just closed a $400k seed round. I started doing my usual thing, talking up my idea and asking what he thought of the market. He put his cup down and asked me one thing: "How many customers have you actually talked to this week?" I said two, and he just nodded and told me he did 60 customer calls before he wrote a single line of code. What's the right number before you start building, or does it just depend on the product?
