Tested a propane fire pit on a damp night and got way less heat than I expected
I tried using my new propane fire pit during a rainy evening in the Smokies last month and the flame kept flickering low, so now I always dry off the burner ring with a towel before lighting it - has anyone else noticed how much moisture messes with propane output?

The vaporization rate drops hard when the air's saturated, so your flame is basically starving for fuel even though the tank's full. Drying the burner helps but the real fix is letting the tank sit in warmer water first.

Warm water trick works, @noahhernandez saved me on a damp jobsite last winter lol.

I read that propane actually pulls moisture out of the air, so damp conditions really cut into the flame temperature.
