Overheard a guy at REI say he never checks his tent for leaks before a trip

Thing is he told me he woke up in a puddle last weekend in Olympic National Park after a $300 tent let water right through the seams, so now I'm wondering how many of us actually test our gear before heading out.

Ngl I'm guilty of skipping leak tests too, but that's brutal for a $300 tent to fail like that. Always worth a quick spray in the yard before you go.

@nancy154 guilty as charged. Last time I skipped the test, my tent turned into a kiddie pool on the first night.
