Tried cleaning a focusing screen with lighter fluid and now I need a new one
Was swapping a cracked focusing screen on a Nikon F2 in my basement last night, used a bit too much Ronsonol and the acetone haze ate right through the coating on the Fresnel lens, anyone know a good source for OEM replacements that won't charge $60?

honestly i used to think lighter fluid was fine for cleaning camera stuff, but after reading this i'm rethinking my whole approach. that's rough man, sixty bucks is crazy for a replacement.

rethinking my whole approach" is where i landed too after a similar mistake. what cleaner are you gonna switch to now that youve ditched the lighter fluid? i figure if youre dropping that cash on a replacement you might as well pick up the right stuff from here.
