That moment at a camera swap meet when some guy told me I was cleaning sensor dust all wrong
Out at a swap meet in Phoenix last Saturday, some retired repair guy watched me use a blower on a sensor and said I was just moving dust around. He showed me the sticky swab method on his own Canon and I had to admit my way was half-assed. Any of you switched over from just air to something else?

Honestly yeah air blowers are kinda weak sauce. Sticky swab is the real deal once you stop being scared of it.

Swabs are great but you gotta be careful. One tiny piece of grit on that swab and you just scratched your sensor. Seen it happen to a guy at a workshop. Air blower still has its place for loose stuff before you go in with anything wet. Just don't cheap out on the swabs or the solution. Bad liquid leaves streaks that are worse than the original dust.
