Vent: got chewed out for leaving 6 inches of slack at the box, then watched a guy in Tulsa spend 3 hours pulling a new line because of it | Cable Installers - Pinecone Attack
That line about "watched a guy in Tulsa spend 3 hours pulling a new line because of it" really stuck with me. It's the same thing I see everywhere, one person cuts a corner to save 30 seconds and somebody else pays for it with hours of their day. I see it at the grocery store when people leave their cart in the middle of the aisle, or on the road when someone blocks a whole lane just to grab a parking spot. Small stuff adds up and the person who cleans it up is never the one who caused it. That is why I get so mad when folks act like 6 inches of slack is no big deal, because it IS a big deal to the guy crawling through an attic at 2pm in July. We all gotta remember somebody comes after us and that somebody usually didn't do anything wrong.
