Customer demanded a redo, then asked me to match his old cable mess

Last month in Austin, a homeowner had me rework an entire drop because he said my corner bends were too tight, even though they passed spec at 2 inches. He wanted the old loose loops back, said it looked 'more professional' somehow. I changed my approach to keep tension but give a little slack near the weatherhead, and now I'm split between doing it his way or sticking with code. Any of you guys ever get feedback that made you question your own standard install?
