Last Tuesday was a nightmare job site

I showed up at 7am and the homeowner had already moved furniture into the kitchen. The base cabinets I built last week? They were sitting in the garage leaning against a wet wall. Warped the sides on two of them. Had to rip out the drawer slides and rebuild the boxes on site. Took me 12 hours straight with just a sandwich break. The client kept asking if I could finish by Friday. I told her no way. She got upset but I can't rush glue drying. Ended up working Saturday too. Anyone else deal with clients who don't understand how wood moves?

Gonna push back a little here. You showed up at 7am and the cabinets were already sitting in a wet garage. That's on the homeowner for sure. But if I'm being honest, I always check the storage spot the day before install to avoid exactly this kind of headache.

Call me crazy but warped sides on two cabinets out of how many, and you had to rebuild the whole boxes? Seems like you could have just shimmed the crap out of them and moved on. I mean, @richardrodriguez makes a good point about checking storage, but also, wood moves, glue dries, and clients are always gonna be annoying. You told her Friday was a no go, she got mad, you worked Saturday anyway. Sounds like a standard Tuesday to me honestly.
