Trick for fixing sticky butter robot images
I spent two hours last night trying to clean up a scan of an old meme someone printed on sticky note paper. The butter robot looked all smudged and the text was barely readable. Tried every filter in GIMP, brightness sliders, contrast boost, nothing worked. Then I remembered a tip about using the curves tool instead of sliders. Clicked the auto button in the curves menu and it fixed the whole thing in three seconds. Looked crisp like it came fresh off a laser printer. Has anyone else found a random one-click fix that saved you a headache with meme cleanup?

Did you try checking if your scanner driver needs an update?

Yeah @linda_mason82 you changed my mind. Never thought about drivers before this.
