Bought a $400 bandsaw from an auction, biggest regret yet

Man, I still kick myself over that purchase back in 2021. Saw a used bandsaw at a farm equipment auction outside Dayton, looked fine from the front but the tires were cracked and the blade guide was bent. Paid $400 thinking I could fix it cheap, but parts and labor ran another $260 and it still cuts crooked. Shoulda just bought a new one for $700 and called it a day. Anyone else get burned on auction tools or do I just have bad luck with those?
