That free yoga class flyer outside my gym was actually legit

I walked past this neon pink flyer for a donation-based yoga class at the community center on Main Street for like 3 months. Figured it was some scam or a front for a timeshare pitch. Finally showed up last Tuesday with my buddy, ready to leave if it felt weird. It was run by a retired firefighter who taught adaptive stretches for people with back issues - totally free and honest. Has anyone else found something sketchy-looking on a board that turned out to be the real deal?

My friend Sarah went to one of those flyer things for a free cooking class last month. She walked in thinking it would be some boring lecture about budgeting or whatever. Turns out they showed her how to make homemade pasta from scratch for like $3. She's been raving about it ever since, even started a little herb garden on her balcony from seeds they gave her. Guess you really can't judge a flyer by its cover.

Man, that's almost exactly what happened to me last fall. Saw a beat-up flyer for "Free Pie Making Workshop" taped to a lamppost, figured it was a scam but I was bored. Walked in and some retired baker taught ten of us how to make a proper apple pie crust from scratch. Got a free little pie tin and a recipe card too. Now I'm the guy who brings homemade pies to every potluck.
