Stopped by the library bulletin board after 6 years and it is exactly the same

Same faded flyers for a 2018 chess club and a missing cat that must be gone by now. Has anyone else noticed certain boards just never get updated, or is it just this one?

Wait, a 2018 flyer? That's only six years old. My library has one from 2005 for a community garden meeting. Still hanging there. A cat missing since 2018 probably isn't coming back, but that flyer is practically brand new compared to some of these boards. You gotta check the really old boards near the community center bathrooms. They've got stuff from before smartphones were everywhere.

I mean, you mentioning those old boards near the bathrooms takes me back. There was this one at a rest stop in Nebraska that had a flyer for a lost dog from 1999 still stapled up, faded to the point you could barely see the picture. Sometimes I wonder if people just leave them there as a kind of time capsule for whoever's passing through.
