Local cafe owner told me my flyers were too cluttered, so I cut the text in half
I put up this flyer for my guitar lessons at the corner store last month and the owner said nobody reads paragraphs. She pointed to a neighbor's flyer with maybe 10 words and a big drawing and said copy that. I redid mine with just "Guitar lessons," my number, and a simple drawing of a guitar. Next time I checked, three of the old ones had been taken down. Has anyone else had to dumb down their bulletin board posts to get responses?

Yeah I cut my flyer down to just what people needed to know and got way more calls that month.
