I think handwritten flyers work better than digital posts for local events

Everyone in this group seems to love snapping photos of QR codes and event pages, but I started stapling up handwritten flyers last summer for my neighborhood potluck. I used bright paper and a Sharpie, kept it to 3 bullet points, and got 40 people to show up compared to maybe 12 from my Facebook event. The lady at the coffee shop said people actually stop to read them because they look less like ads. Has anyone else tested old-school paper against the online posts?

Ugh yes, I totally get this. The coffee shop thing is real - people are so used to tuning out digital noise that a plain ol' paper flyer actually stands out. Your potluck numbers prove it too, 40 people from paper versus 12 from Facebook is wild.

Yeah @xena_williams, right? Try putting flyers on community bulletin boards near grocery stores, that gets people too.
