I found a flyer at the library in Boise that said the city has over 400 public bulletin boards

It was a notice from the parks department about posting rules, and it listed the total count. I always figured there were maybe a hundred around town, tops. That's a huge network of local info most people just walk past. Has anyone else seen a city actually list how many boards they maintain?

That's a wild number, honestly. Always figured those boards were just a few random ones at rec centers and bus stops. Makes you wonder what kind of local history and events are pinned up across all of them.

Yeah hollym12, the real history is probably just 400 flyers for lost cats and yoga classes. That many boards means the city is basically wallpapering the place with rules about where you can't put your garage sale sign. Feels like they're proud of managing the world's saddest paper trail.
