I thought the whole 'future log' thing was a waste of time until last month.
For a whole year, I just used my monthly spreads and ignored the future log pages at the front of my journal. Then, in March, my dentist called to move my June cleaning, and I had no place to put it. I wrote it on a sticky note that I lost. After missing the new appointment, I finally set up a simple future log with just six boxes for the year. It took maybe ten minutes. Now I can see everything at a glance. Has anyone else had a simple tool in their bujo that they didn't think they needed?

jones.grace said "How did you even plan anything?" and that hit me hard because I used to feel the SAME way about people who raved about future logs. I thought they were just extra work for no reason. I was a monthly spread purist for like a year. But after losing that sticky note appointment with my dentist, I finally tried it. Now I get it. It took me maybe fifteen minutes to draw six boxes and now I can see everything from June to December without flipping pages. I was wrong about them being a waste.

Wait, you didn't use a future log before? How did you even plan anything? I was lost without mine. It's the only way I can keep track of appointments months out. My whole system would fall apart.
