TIL my 'spare change' jar actually had $127 in it after 8 months.

I dumped it out to buy a new kitchen knife and was shocked because I only ever tossed in coins after my restaurant shifts, so hitting that number without even trying made me wonder what other small habits could add up.

Honestly those jars are a total game changer. Felt the same way until I tried it last year. Turns out seeing the cash pile up is weirdly motivating. Makes you think twice about small buys.
