Rant: My coworker made me realize I was budgeting all wrong
Told my coworker Jen about my tight grocery budget and she said I was spending way too much on name brands, not looking at unit prices. She showed me her receipt from Aldi last Tuesday - $47 for a week of meals - and honestly that hit different because I never thought to switch stores entirely.

That "switching stores entirely" part is the real hack people miss, loyalty to one store costs more than loyalty to brands.

Store hopping has changed how I think about loss leaders too, those cheap milk and eggs deals only work if you buy everything else there at full price. You end up paying way more on the stuff you grab without thinking. Just grabbing those sale items from each store saves me around 30 bucks a week easy.
