Met a hostel worker in Prague who changed how I pack

I was crashing at this super cheap place near the old town square last spring and this lady at the front desk noticed me struggling with my overstuffed duffel bag. She showed me this trick where you roll everything into small bundles like burritos and suddenly I fit 2 extra outfits in the same space without wrinkles. Has anyone else gotten a random travel tip from a stranger that actually worked better than anything you've read online?

That burrito method reminds me of how I stuff my sleeping bag into that tiny sack by rolling it tight like a taco.

Honestly, I used to be one of those people who just crammed everything in and called it a day. Your story about the hostel worker really got me thinking because I was always skeptical about rolling clothes, thought it was just some influencer fad. Then I tried it on a trip to Budapest last year after a buddy swore by it, and yeah, it actually worked way better than I expected. Tbh that burrito method is legit, I fit a whole extra hoodie and pair of jeans in my bag without it looking like a mess. It's funny how a random tip from a stranger can beat all the fancy packing guides online.
