Just saved $200 on a rental car by booking 3 months out and checking weekly
Last month I booked a car for a trip to Portland in June. Put it in my calendar to check rates every Monday. Rates dropped twice and I rebooked both times. Ended up with a midsize for $28 a day. Anyone else have luck with this strategy for summer trips?

Is that $28 before or after they hit you with the "we ran out of midsize cars here's a free upgrade to a Mini Cooper" fee?
