Heads up about the 'free walking tour' tip in Prague, it's not what you think
I just got back and saw at least a dozen groups getting pressured for huge tips after the guide spent the whole time pushing overpriced pub crawls, so please research your guide's reviews BEFORE you join to avoid that awkward end-of-tour shake down.

Yeah I actually kinda see this differently. I did three free walking tours in Prague last month and every guide was upfront about how it works. They explained that the walk itself costs nothing but they work for tips and suggested 200-300 crowns per person which is like $10. That seems totally fair for a 2 hour tour with a local who knows their stuff. The pub crawl thing is annoying but you can just say no thanks and tip accordingly. If you feel pressured thats on the guide being bad not the system itself. I tipped 400 crowns for one tour because she showed us this killer absinthe bar and took us through the Jewish Quarter like a pro.
