My mom told me I was wasting money on pre-shredded cheese
She came over while I was making tacos and saw me dumping a bag of shredded cheddar. She grabbed a block of cheese and a grater from my drawer and said I was paying for water and sawdust essentially. So I did the math and she was right, a block costs about half as much for twice the cheese plus it melts way better. Now my taco Tuesdays cost like $3 less each week and I feel like I leveled up. Anyone else get roasted by a parent for a lazy grocery habit that actually made sense?

Keeps a grater in his car for camping trips is next level preparedness honestly.

The "paying for water and sawdust" part killed me. My buddy Ryan swore by pre-shredded cheese for years. Then his girlfriend timed him grating a block once. It took like 45 seconds. He never bought a bag again. Now he keeps a grater in his car for camping trips.
