Got schooled by a cashier at Aldi about bulk buying beans...
I was at Aldi last Tuesday grabbing a bag of dried black beans for $1.29, and the cashier said I was wasting my money on the small bags. She told me she buys the 10-pound sack from a restaurant supply store for $8 and it lasts her family three months. I always thought buying bulk was more expensive upfront, but she showed me the math on her phone and I had to admit she was right. Now I split a giant bag with my neighbor and we both save about $4 a month. Has anyone else switched to bulk grains after a random stranger convinced you?
