Spent 40 bucks on a can of 'professional grade' spray foam for my drafty windows in Omaha

Ended up with a mess that looked like a marshmallow exploded and had to scrape half of it off with a putty knife, so now I just use rolled up towels like a normal person - has anyone actually gotten that stuff to work cleanly on the first try?

Oh you know me, I went with the cheap can and now my floor has that weird sticky residue that won't come off. Learned my lesson the hard way, as usual.
