Dropped $200 on a fancy mortar mixer attachment that just sits in my truck now
Bought this paddle mixer for my drill thinking it would save my shoulders on big jobs, but it just flings mud everywhere and leaves clumps. Has anyone else found a good use for these things or should I just list it on Craigslist?

Man, I used to think those mixer paddles were a total scam honestly. Then I borrowed a buddy's for a small thinset job and it actually did the trick once I figured out the right speed. You might need to dial down the drill rpm and keep it buried in the mud to stop the fling.

Borrowed one of those paddles last year and ended up using it to mix paint for a whole house repaint instead of mud. Worked way better than I expected but you gotta drill a couple holes in the bucket lid to keep the splatter in. Still not worth two hundred bucks though, I'd Craigslist it and buy a cheaper one if you really need it.
