Visited a wrecked greenhouse outside Austin last weekend
I drove out to an abandoned greenhouse off Highway 290 that's been shuttered since 2018 and found a ton of volunteer herbs like rosemary and mint still thriving in the broken pots. Has anyone else stumbled across old gardens that just refuse to die off?

Quietly growing" is exactly it... a buddy of mine found a patch of old asparagus ferns behind a boarded-up barn in the hill country that'd been left for like 15 years. The whole place was falling in but those ferns were still pushing up through the floorboards.

Love finding plants that just refuse to give up like that. Rosemary and mint are hardy little beasts, they probably outlasted the greenhouse itself lol. Makes you think about all the gardens people walk away from that just keep quietly growing.
