Saw a stat that 92% of wildflower seeds sold online are mislabeled. Checked my last 3 packets and yep.
I was reading a study from the University of Delaware botany department. They tested seed packets from 12 random online sellers and almost all had wrong species or mix of species inside. So I went back to the 3 packs I bought in March for my backyard strip in Denver. Two of them had flowers that weren't even close to the picture on the front. The third had a bunch of invasive stuff mixed in. Has anyone else caught their seed supplier lying like this?

That study might've cherry-picked some shady sellers though.

Yeah but @lee.cole, that study tested 12 different sellers from etsy, amazon, and smaller seed companies. Thats a decent range. I dug into the actual paper and they bought from a mix of big and small places. The third pack I had was from a seller with 4.5 stars and over 2k reviews on amazon, still had invasive dame's rocket mixed in with what was supposed to be a native mix. So its not just the sketchy shops.
