My rose bush looks odd after I cut it back last spring.

I trimmed my rose bush hard last spring. Now it has lots of leaves but few flowers. Some gardeners say heavy pruning leads to better blooms. Others argue it can delay flowering. What's your take on this?

I over-pruned once and got NO flowers, just leaves.

Oh man, sounds like your rose bush is holding a grudge! Give it some extra plant food, maybe it'll forgive you and bloom next year.
