My peace lily survived a full two weeks without water after I stopped babying it

I kept watering mine every few days like the internet said and it kept drooping, so I ignored it for 14 days straight while on a job up in Bangor and it came back greener than ever, has anyone else had luck just neglecting a houseplant on purpose?

Oh man, I used to be one of those people watering my peace lily on a strict schedule lol. I had it in my head that if I didn't keep the soil damp it would just give up and die on me. But I tried something similar after reading that they actually like being a little dry. I went a full 10 days without watering mine and it perked up way better than when I was fussing over it all the time. Now I just wait until the leaves start looking a tiny bit sad before I water it and it's been growing like crazy. Totally changed my whole approach to houseplants for real.

Totally agree @hernandez.jordan, letting mine get droopy first was a game changer too.
