Rant: our club picked the wrong book and half of us quit in two weeks
Our group meets at the library in Decatur and we had to choose between two short books for the month. I pushed for the 140 page one, but the loudest guy talked everyone into the 600 page dystopian novel instead. Three people never finished it, two dropped out for good by week two, and our last meeting had four of us sitting in a circle pretending we liked it. Now I'm wondering if picking a book should be a blind vote. How do the rest of you settle it when someone in the group always gets their way?
