Three hour rulebook hunt for a 15 minute explainer

I spent a whole Friday evening digging through a 40 page manual just to find how turn order changes with 5 players, and it was buried in a footnote on page 37. Has anyone else had a rulebook that hides the one thing you actually need in the most random spot?

Man, rulebooks are such a scam sometimes. I swear they hide the important stuff on purpose just to mess with you. Page 37 for turn order is brutal though. My group once gave up on a game entirely because the answer to a basic question was in a tiny diagram at the very back. Like, no one reads the appendix until they're desperate.
