Stop putting worker placement games on a round table

Honestly, I see this all the time at my local game night at The Copper Mug in Minneapolis. People set up a worker placement game like Agricola or Viticulture on a round table and it kills the game for everyone sitting off-center. The board gets angled weird, someone can't read the card text, and then someone knocks over a pile of wooden pieces trying to reach the action spaces. I know because I hosted a 5-player game of Caverna last month and half the group couldn't see the building tiles from their seats. It matters because worker placement is already a tight game where you need to plan ahead, and if you can't see the board clearly you end up wasting turns. So here's my hack: always use a rectangular table or at least put the board dead center and rotate it every round. Has anyone else dealt with this at their game nights?
