Finally figured out how to get those tiny card sleeves on without losing my mind

I play a lot of 7 Wonders and those small cards have always been a pain to sleeve. For like 3 years I'd sit there fumbling with each one individually and getting air bubbles. Then last month I saw a guy at my local shop in Portland slide the card in at an angle while pressing the bottom corner first and it went on smooth every time. Anyone else have a weird little trick like that for sleeving?

Oh man, I gotta disagree with you on this one lol. I've tried that angle trick before and it just makes the card bend in a way that bugs me. I actually prefer going straight in from the top and using a credit card to push the air out as I go down. It takes maybe an extra second per card but at least I don't feel like I'm gonna crease something valuable. Different strokes for different folks I guess, but the angle method always leaves my sleeves looking lopsided.

Haha, "lopsided sleeves" - that's exactly my problem too. I feel like I'm trying to wrestle the card into a straightjacket every time I go in at an angle. The credit card trick sounds like a solid move, honestly. I've got a few old gift cards lying around that I've been using to flatten bent corners from my own clumsy attempts. I'm with you on the extra second thing - I'd rather take a little longer than wind up with a sleeve that looks like it got run over by a truck.
