Saw a blog about fixing game consoles from 2009 that's still getting comments

I was looking up how to fix an old PS3 last night and stumbled on a blog called Console Repair Shack that some guy started in 2009. He posted detailed guides with grainy photos from a flip phone, and people are still commenting on them in 2024 asking for help. The crazy part is he answered every single comment for about 3 years then just stopped in 2012. I noticed a lot of these old repair blogs get abandoned but the info is still better than any modern YouTube tutorial because they explain the WHY not just the how. Why do people think newer content is always better when these old posts have clearly tested solutions? Has anyone else found a dead blog that saved them a ton of time on a repair?

That old blog sound familiar. Found a guide from 2007 on how to fix a dead Xbox 360 red ring with just some washers and a heat gun, still works like a charm today.
