Compared a 5-year-old blog to a brand new one and the old one won hands down

I was looking for info on fixing a leaky frost-free spigot last week and stumbled onto two blogs. One was started in 2019 by this guy in Ohio who posted like 3 times and then quit. The other one was from 2004, looked like crap with a green background and Comic Sans, but the guy had like 200 posts with actual photos of his own repairs. Guess which one actually showed me step-by-step how to pull the cartridge without breaking the pipe? The old one, hands down. No affiliate links, no popups asking for my email, just a dude showing his work from 15 years ago. Anyone else notice the older blogs that look dated are way more useful than the polished new ones?
