Saved a bookmark for 'how to survive a bear attack' but never opened it until last month in Montana
I've had that thing sitting in my bookmarks toolbar for like 6 years, ever since I watched some nature doc. Then last month I'm on a hike outside Missoula and this big black bear walks out about 40 feet ahead. I froze, tried to remember what the bookmark said, and all I could think of was 'don't run' and 'play dead' which is apparently wrong for black bears. Had to look it up on my phone after I backed away slowly, turns out I should've made noise and stood tall. Now I've got 3 different bear safety bookmarks saved and I still get nervous every time I see a bush move. Anyone else got a bookmark they never read until the exact wrong moment?
