My bookmark folder from 2005 looks like a time capsule now

I was clearing out my old desktop last month and opened a folder called 'cool stuff' that had 47 links from dial-up days, including a Flash game site and a webcam of a fish tank in Japan. When I clicked one about weather predictions from a guy in Ohio, it redirected to a casino page and my antivirus went nuts for 10 minutes. Has anyone else stumbled on ancient bookmarks that turned into something completely different?
