Watched Breaking Bad one episode a night versus three in a row, and I finally get why people say not to rush it
Took me 5 months to finish the whole thing on the slow plan, and the tension in season 4 hit way harder when I had a full day to sit with it. Binged season 5 in two sittings though, so has anyone else noticed a show lands different depending on how fast you burn through it?
The part about season 4 tension hitting harder with a day to sit with it is so real. My buddy Dave did the one-a-night thing with The Wire and he'd call me after certain episodes just to talk it out, dude was losing his mind waiting to see what happened next. Then he got impatient and watched the last four episodes back to back at like 2am and told me it all blurred together, he could barely remember which thing happened in which episode. He said the slow pace made the big moments feel like events, but the binge just made them feel like checking boxes. Kind of makes me want to go back and rewatch some stuff the slow way.
