Rant: my 3 day Arrested Development marathon went sideways on a Tuesday
I finally decided to clear my list and watch Arrested Development last month, six seasons in one push. By day 2 I was so deep in the Bluth family drama that I actually missed a dentist appointment I had near Tampa. The show is great, but I learned the hard way that 14 episodes a day is too much for my brain. I started mixing up characters, and I kept dreaming about banana stands. My wife walked in and told me, "you look like you just finished a triple shift, not a TV show." So now I cap my binges at 5 episodes, and I take a real break to walk outside. Does anyone else hit a wall on a long series, or do you just power through and regret it later like I did?

14 episodes a day is nuts man. I did the office like that once and by season 4 I forgot what a normal job even looked like. The banana stand dreams are real though, that's when you know you went too far. 5 a day sounds about right, keeps your brain from turning to mush.
