Question about finishing a show that just got TOO real

So I was binging The Bear on Hulu last week. I got to season 2 episode 7 where they do that whole family dinner scene. It took me THREE HOURS to get through 30 minutes because I kept pausing to call my own brother and apologize for stuff. Has anyone else hit a show that hit way too close to home like that?

Said the exact same thing when I watched that episode. Called my sister crying at 2 AM. Did you ever actually resolve any of those old fights with your brother or was it more like you just needed to say it out loud for yourself?

@lindaw29 Nah I don't buy the "art makes you heal" stuff. It's a TV show. People getting dramatic over a scripted kitchen drama is wild. You called your sister at 2 AM over what a writer typed up? That's not resolution, that's you getting manipulated by good acting and sad music.
