My friend said she only watches shows with a 'skip recap' button now

We were grabbing coffee and she mentioned she won't even start a new show unless it has that button. She said she's watched maybe 15 series in the last year and the recaps just waste time when you're binging. I thought about it and she's right. I started paying attention and some shows have a 90 second recap for a 42 minute episode. That adds up. I tried her rule with a new crime drama on Netflix, 'The Night Agent', and it made a huge difference. The episodes felt tighter and I got through the whole season faster. It's a small thing but it really changes how you pick what to watch next. Does anyone else have a weird little rule like this for picking a show to binge?

Honestly that's a great rule and I get it completely. Some of those recaps are way too long for no reason, like we just watched the last episode an hour ago. It does make the whole flow of a binge so much better when you can just skip right to the new stuff.

But those recaps are a lifesaver when you forget what happened last week.
