My brother told me to watch 'The Leftovers' and I ignored him for two years
Finally caved last month and binged all 3 seasons in like 10 days... he was totally right about the soundtrack and that ending. Has anyone else had a friend who's never steered you wrong on a recommendation?

My buddy Dave recommended "Patriot" to me for 3 years straight. I finally watched it last month and now I owe him a steak dinner. The show is about a depressed spy who sings folk songs and it somehow works perfectly. He's the same guy who told me to switch to almond milk in my coffee and that was also correct. I've learned to just trust him on everything now. He could tell me the sky was actually green and I'd probably check.

...and honestly that's the kind of friend you hold onto. Dave sounds like he's got good instincts, and with the almond milk thing he's clearly looking out for your health too. Here's the thing though, once you've trusted someone with three big recommendations that work out, you've basically signed up for life. I'd say just go ahead and let Dave pick your next show, your next coffee order, and probably your next car. He's earned it.
