Vent: cheap spoke wrenches rounded 3 nipples before I switched to a proper one
Last Tuesday I was truing a rear wheel off a 2018 Rockhopper and rounded three nipples with a $12 stamped wrench from a big box kit. The jaws just did not grip, they kept slipping and chewing up the flats. I grabbed a Park SW-2 that a buddy left at the shop and the difference was night and day, it grabbed like it was made for the job. Same wheel, same spokes, and I had the lateral wobble down to under 1mm in about 20 minutes. So what is the go to wrench you all keep on the bench, and does anyone still use those cheap multi-size ones for anything?
