Pro tip: A rubber mallet saved me 45 minutes on a seized seatpost
Was working on a beater bike last weekend that had a seatpost stuck solid. Tried all the usual tricks - penetrating oil, heat, even the pipe wrench. Nothing budged. Then an old mechanic at the co-op told me to whack the post sideways with a rubber mallet to break the corrosion seal. One good smack and it twisted right out. Had no idea that would work. Anyone else got a weird trick for stuck parts that actually works?

Whack it from every angle, not just one side.

Honestly you gotta hit it from the right spot first though.
