Just realized my ringtone from 2006 sounds better than half the beats I've been sharing here
Kept a 12 second clip of a Nokia brick doing its thing for 3 days straight versus deleting a full lo-fi album in one listen, so which one of us is actually wrong about what makes a beat so bad it's good?

What was it about that Nokia clip that kept you hooked for 3 days though? Was it the actual melody or just the fact that it loops so clean you never get tired of it? I've noticed bad beats usually fail because the loop point is garbage, not because the sounds are cheap. A ringtone from 2006 had to loop perfect or people would lose their minds hearing it 40 times a day. So maybe the clip wasn't better, it was just built to survive repetition. What made you hit delete on that lo-fi album, the songs themselves or the fact that nothing in it surprised you twice?
