Found a cassette from 1986 where my uncle tried to rap over a drum machine... it's pure gold

His grandma's meatloaf" - man, that line killed me because I swear my uncle's rap from '87 was literally about his mother's tuna casserole and why his sneakers had holes. You're probably right though, @spencerw72, it's almost definitely not some lost Def Jam treasure. But you know what, my uncle also thought he was the next Kurtis Blow and I still have to sit through the family holiday videos where he "performs" it for everyone. We all got that one relative who thinks they're a pioneer when really they just needed a better understanding of rhythm and maybe a little shame.

4 bars about his Walkman and 8 about his grandma's meatloaf. That's usually how these go. Unless he was somehow ahead of his time and dropping the kind of stuff you'd hear on a proper Def Jam record, this is probably just a family inside joke that sounded good after a few beers. I mean, 1986 was a big year for hip hop - LL Cool J, Run-DMC, Beastie Boys. If your uncle wasn't at least trying to sound like one of those guys, you're likely listening to a novelty track, not a lost classic. Either way, enjoy the embarrassment.
