Hit 10,000 bookmarks in my browser last night and it finally clicked what I've been doing wrong

I was just cleaning up my bookmarks bar for the hundredth time and noticed the number hit 10,000 exactly. Most of them are links I saved but never opened again. It hit me that I've been treating bookmarks like a to-do list instead of a library. Has anyone else hit a random milestone on something and realized they need to change how they do it?

And I thought I was bad with 3,000 tabs open on my phone at all times, so congrats on the bookmark record. Honestly I've probably forgotten half of what I even saved, like digital hoarding but for links instead of junk. Does anyone call that a wake up call or just a Tuesday afternoon for the chronically online?

Does your phone even run right with 3,000 tabs open though? I hit 500 once and my browser started crashing every five minutes. You bring up a good point about forgetting half of what you save, I've got bookmarks from three years ago for stuff like "best way to fix a squeaky door" that I'll probably never need again. It's definitely digital hoarding, but I think there's something deeper going on. Like we're scared to close a tab or delete a bookmark because it feels like we're admitting we'll never actually do that project or read that article. Maybe the real wake up call is when you realize you're saving things to feel productive instead of actually being productive.
