Switched from shears to clippers for my fade work and I'm kicking myself
For the first 8 years I was barbering I used nothing but shears for blending out my fades. Thought I was being precise and old school. Last month a buddy let me borrow his clipper over comb technique and I tried it on a client. Man it cut my fade time in half and the blend came out smoother than I ever got with scissors. I think I was just scared to change because shears felt like the 'right' way. Now I'm working on getting that clipper feel down for every cut. Has anyone else held onto a tool for too long and regretted not switching sooner?

Kept using a straight razor to trim my own neckline for three years. Looked like I got in a fight with a weed whacker every time. Switched to a trimmer. Life changed. Now I feel dumb for all those bloody t-shirts. But hey, at least I saved money on bandaids.

Which straight razor were you using? The cheap Amazon ones?
