Overheard a client at my shop say he got a bad skin infection from a barber in Raleigh
He was telling his friend that the barber used clippers that clearly weren't cleaned between clients, and he ended up with a nasty rash and had to see a doctor. It made me check my own cleaning routine right after his cut. I use Barbicide and clipper spray, but now I'm double-checking every single tool. Has anyone else had a client come in with a story like that?

My buddy in Charlotte had a client come in last year with a line of bumps on his neck from dirty trimmers. The guy said his old barber just used a dry rag to wipe them off. My friend showed me the pictures, it was pretty bad.

Barbers need to use barbicide on their tools between every single client. A dry rag just spreads germs around. That's how you get skin infections and ingrown hairs. Basic hygiene isn't optional.
